Linear - Decimal

What It Does

Imports issues into Decimal as tickets
Posts replies and internal notes back as comments on the issue
Closes the issue when the ticket is resolved from Decimal
Receives escalations from chat widget conversations as new issues

Connecting Linear

Open Integrations: Go to Settings → Integrations.
Click Linear: Click on the Linear integration row to open the configuration modal.
Authorize Decimal: Click Connect with Linear and approve the permissions below.

To connect with a key instead, click Use API key instead and paste a Linear API key with read and write access. Comments and issues will appear under the key owner’s name.

Create the key on Linear’s API settings.

Permissions

Decimal connects with Linear’s actor authorization, so it works like a service account rather than acting as the person who connected. Comments and issues it creates appear as Decimal. To review or revoke its access, open Settings → Applications in Linear.

Scope	Used for
`read`	Sync issues and comments. List teams, labels, projects, and assignees for escalation setup.
`write`	Post comments, create issues from escalations, upload attachments, and update state, labels, priority, and assignee.
