Connect Secoda to look up catalog documentation for tables, columns, and dashboards during investigations. Open the resource’s source link, when returned, to check its definition in Secoda.
Search matches resource titles, not the full text of descriptions or definitions. This integration reads the catalog; it does not query your warehouse, edit resources, or import them as Decimal Knowledge Base articles.

Before you connect

You’ll need an organization admin account in Decimal, a Secoda API key, and your Secoda workspace’s region. Use a key with access only to the resources this Decimal organization should read; there is no resource-selection step in Decimal.
Secoda’s authentication guide covers API credentials and access. Keep the key out of prompts and support messages.

Connecting Secoda

  1. Open Secoda: Go to Settings → Integrations → Secoda.
  2. Enter your key: Provide the API key under Connection.
  3. Select your region: Match the workspace where the key belongs. US is the default.
  4. Connect: Click Connect. Decimal tests catalog access before saving the connection.
  5. Check the connection: Confirm that Status reads Connected and Region matches your workspace.
The connection test can succeed with an empty catalog. Connected reflects the saved connection, not a live credential test or a guarantee of access to every resource.

Troubleshooting

If the problem persists, email support with the region, error text, time, and Decimal conversation or ticket URL. Leave the API key out of the message.

Replace the key or disconnect

On the Secoda integration page, click Disconnect and confirm. This removes the saved credentials from Decimal; revoke the key in Secoda separately if needed. To replace the key or region, have the replacement details ready before disconnecting. Reconnect with those details, then confirm Connected and the correct Region. Secoda access is unavailable while disconnected.
