What It Does

  • Extends AI capabilities: Give the agent access to additional tools
  • Custom data sources: Connect internal APIs or databases the agent can query
  • Predefined servers: Use ready-made configurations for common tools

Connecting an MCP Server

  1. Open Integrations: Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click MCP Servers: Click on the MCP Servers row to open the MCP Servers page.
  3. Choose a server: In the Add server section, pick a predefined server or Custom server.
  4. Configure the server:
    • Predefined servers: Enter an API key. Use the Get key link to find it.
    • Custom servers: Enter a name, URL, and auth type (No authentication, API key in URL, or Bearer token), then click Test. A successful test is required before adding.
  5. Select tools: After a successful test, check the discovered tools Decimal may call. Decimal calls only the checked tools.
  6. Add: Click Add.

Managing Servers

The Servers list shows how many servers are active. For each server, you can:
  • Tools: Change which tools Decimal may call (active custom servers).
  • Reconnect: Reconnect a server that shows Authorization required, Disconnected, or Needs attention.
  • Remove: Remove the server.
Custom servers are enabled per workspace. Anyone can configure one, but the agent only calls its tools once the server is turned on for your workspace. Email us to turn it on.
